Greenery in Ancient Santiago

Deb and I have walked, explored, wandered, and visited many of the nooks and crannies in this city of Santiago.  We try to get out for a few hours each day for fresh air and always treat ourselves to a coffee out.

Passed the birds and ponds, Deb and I chose to walk out farther and explore where we haven't been yet.  Worse case scenario is we get lost.  But I have a GPS on my phone.
So off we go....

Cone cabbages for sale.
We cooked up one for supper.  They are the perfect size for two people.
And fresher than we get in Canada in the winter.
Delicious.

Olive trees...per experience, do not try to eat them from the tree.😝

Decisions...decisions...decisions...
Which way to go?

Pilgrim cross.  I am curious how many Pilgrim crosses there might be in Santiago?
I cannot find a number on the Internet.  But I would say over 100 in the city alone.

A Horreo, a Galician granary, found in this park.
During our time here in Santiago, we have never been this close to one.
They are protected and can't be torn down.
Check out the greenery that is growing on the roof.

Guess who is having fun?

Another view of the Horreo.
Reminds me of a 'tiny house.'

Lovely view of the Old Town from a park we have never been to before.

The spires from the Cathedral are a navigating point when visiting or exploring the city.

Blooming flowers.

We didn't know where we would end up on our exploration in the city of Santiago...but here we are at a place we know...the San Francisco Church.
Not lost now.

The Cathedral spires with a blue sky and the sun peeking through.
I love this photo.

Do you ever get the feeling you are being watched?

Hello little Tabby cat.
