The Staircase at the Museo do Pobo Galego or An Optical Illusion

One of the few museums we have toured is the Museo do Pobo Galego (Galician Museum) which literally is only a 5-10 minute walk from our Airbnb.  It was a 12th Century convent and church that is located very close to the Porta do Camino (The Pilgrims Gate).
I will post a few photos from the Museum but I wanted to highlight the incredible staircase located there.

Found in the northwest corner,  it is a triple helical (spiral) staircase.
Technically and structurally very impressive.

Each of the three staircases lead to a different floor and door.

This is the view from one of the doors....very amazing.

To show how interesting and confusing, almost, here is LD climbing down.

The entire structure is designed and located in a small square.
It is considered one of the most unique architectural structures in Santiago de Compostela.
A must see.
