A Wee Snag...19 days before the Camino

Only 19 sleeps
…. until we fly to Madrid, Spain and begin our journey on the Camino de Santiago.  We have our knapsacks ready…not quite packed as they will be the day before, but all is just about ready to head out.

But a wee snag….my doctor called last night and informed me that my CT scan results showed a Frontal Lobe Meningioma.  WHAT!  Back up the bus.
This summer I have had a few severe episodes of vertical.  These are not new to me, but have become more acute in the last three months.  Stocked up on excellent anti-nausea meds, I felt I was good to go.

Not what I was expecting at all.

Deb and I were stunned and numb from that news.  We decided to google that kind of brain tumour and see what exactly it is.  Ninety per cent of these kind of tumours are benign.  Excellent!  Only about 7 % are malignant and of that number, unfortunately, more likely men then women.  Not as grievous as I first thought.

Next step…THINK POSITIVE and SHARE WITH THOSE CLOSE.  I need friends and family who will also believe in all things good.  To be there if we need to share when we are scared…which we are.  To reach out…a life preserver in the storm.  Knowing they love and cherish us…..keeping them in the loop.
An appointment for a MRI and neurologist are being arranged as I type this.
