Autumn at the campground…..in a word….SERENITY.
Deb and I have been the only seasonal campers left on the lake side this week. It feels as though we have the entire place to ourselves. With 106 seasonal sites…that speaks volumes to the peacefulness, quietness, and solitude of being surrounded by the colours of the Fall. Golds, reds, and mixes of leaves that can’t decide and chose to hold two colours in their palate.

The air is crisp and fresh and a gentle breeze brings down the leaves determined to hang on. Incredible shades of red, yellow and pink sunsets…..sunsets…..which photos cannot do justice to. I will try….
I was lucky enough to capture these incredible shots from our dock.
Listening to the sounds of BlueJays and Chickadees…..Chickadee…deee…deee….deee….Chipmunks, Red Squirrels tearing through the fallen, crispy, deep layer of leaves. Actually.....sounding like a gigantic bear coming upon you when in fact it is two tiny chipmunks chasing each other.
Deb and I have enjoyed more campfires in the last three weeks than we did all summer. An extraordinary time of year.
My favourite……
